WENATCHEE -  A third straight fifth place finish in Columbia Basin Big Nine POD play was in the cards for the Moses Lake Chiefs girls golf team on Tuesday at Three Lakes golf course.

"Even though we stayed in fifth place we had three girls perform very well," Moses Lake head coach Lonny Brown said.  " Jacy Jones had a much better day shooting and we also had two girls shoot their personal bests with Katrina Ulnick and Emily Dennis a 117."

Moses Lake shot a 454 for their final score and Jones led the way with a 102 to end up in 11th place in the individual race.

Ulnick shot a 112 and Dennis ended up with a 117 to end up in 19th and 23rd places respectively.

Kristi Brown was the final qualifying score, putting up a 123.

Moses Lake has nine POD points while Richland leads the field with the maximum of 21 points.

"We are making good progress," coach Brown said. "We still can't quite get four consistent scores to jump into fourth place.  We are getting closer."
