Both NIC teams 3rd at Bigfoot Invite

LIBERTY LAKE - Eli Bowen carded rounds of 73 (Coeur d'Alene Public) and 74 (Liberty Lake) to place third at the Bigfoot Invitational on Monday.
The North Idaho men finished third behind Skagit Valley and tournament host CC Spokane. Jake Erickson and Justin Newton each carded 151s, with Jeremy Jensen a stroke behind, for the Cardinals.
Former Coeur d'Alene High standout Alex Pounds of CC Spokane shot 73-68 -141 to finish second to medalist Jeff Neely of Skagit Valley by three strokes.
On the women's side, Emily Thorud paced NIC with a 84-88 - 172, placing her sixth individually.
Natalia Arlint followed a first round 93 with a 81 (174) to help the Cardinal women place third in the team standings.
The NIC teams host the Cardinal Challenge this weekend.
