SELAH - The host Vikings knocked the Othello Lady Huskies from the ranks of the Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC) unbeaten with a 17-1, 10-4 doubleheader sweep on Friday.

"Selah looked very strong and hit the ball well throughout their lineup," Othello head coach Rudy Ochoa said. "Our hitting and fielding were not as strong as we usually are. Selah's bats hit the holes very well, it's not that we played bad, it's more that we got out played."

The Lady Huskies (10-4, 10-2) bounced back with a 17-2, 10-3 league sweep at Quincy.

Brenda Rodriguez earned the win from the mound in game one and Kim Bullis followed with a victory in game two.

Alyssa Martinez was the big story against the Lady Jacks as she went 3-for-3 with three homeruns and seven RBI in game one while Bullis added a tater of her own.

Rodriguez did well for an Othello encore, going 2-for-4 in game two with a homerun.

Martinez ended up 4-for-5 on the day with nine RBI.
