WARDEN - The Lady Cougars of Warden remain unbeaten in Central Washington South 2B league play behind two impressive offensive outputs this weekend.

Warden finished off a season sweep of Thorp-Easton with a 16-6, 17-0 doubleheader sweep at home on Saturday.

Warden (12-2, 9-0) have set up what looks like a league title showdown with Kittitas in a couple of weeks.

"We hit well against a good pitcher, but their defense hurt them," Warden head coach Wes Richins said.

The Cougars scored in every inning of each game and knocked out a total of 26 hits. Thorp-Easton committed 19 errors over that same period of play.

Iris Rodriguez hit the game clinching homer in game one and recorded a no-hitter from the mound in game two as she registered 11 strikeouts.

Bianca Hernandez tagged a three-run round tripper in the nightcap.
