POST FALLS - Post Falls police are investigating a possible exposing incident that occurred on Tuesday morning.

According to police, a female student was walking to Post Falls Middle School about 7:30 a.m. when an adult white male, believed to be between 18 and 21, exposed himself, then walked away.

The incident happened near Lincoln Street and 11th Avenue.

The male made no attempt to touch the female, according to a letter sent home with students from the school district.

The suspect is described as having a medium build, dark short hair and wearing blue baggy shorts and a brown-hooded sweatshirt.

Police said there was another alleged exposing incident on April 11, but they do not believe the cases are related.

Police and the school district encourage parents to speak with their children about dealing with strangers. Children are encouraged to not walk alone and should flee the area and call 911 if approached or there is suspicious activity.

Security has been increased around the school.

Those with information should call police at 773-3517. Anonymous tips can also be left at 777-COPS or www.postfallspolice.com.
