A one-stop bridal shop

COEUR d'ALENE - While describing the new-and-improved Storybook Bridal Boutique, Misty Ceriello used the words "elegant" and "classy."

"It's very much a one-stop shop for the busy brides," she added.

Ceriello, owner and president of Cameo Events, formerly based in Denver, Colo., has teamed up with Storybook owner and president Rosalie Alexander, whose boutique has long been a popular stop for soon-to-be brides.

The result?

A spacious - 2,500 square feet - and fashionable combo business at 210 Sherman Ave., tucked inside The Coeur d'Alene Resort Plaza Shops. The boutique's soft opening is today from 4 to 7 p.m., during the 2011 Wine Extravaganza.

"I'm very excited," Alexander said. "It's just nice to be more full-service. It's nice to be able to offer more things for more brides."

Storybook Bridal may have moved to a new location, but the boutique will continue to offer everything a bride or wedding party needs. It has designer gowns, bridesmaid dresses and prom attire. It has flower girl dresses, tiaras and pretty hair clips.

It has jewelry, too.

Whenever a party comes in to browse or buy, they can find privacy in the store's bridal suites.

"A wedding shop with all the accessories," Ceriello said.

And that's just the boutique - Ceriello's operation, Cameo Events, takes care of planning, materials and logistics. Her company provides tablecloths, centerpieces, candelabras and more; then workers set up and take down the reception room on the big day.

"We have probably over 50 pieces," said Ceriello, a nationally-certified wedding and event planner with more than 10 years of experience.

When a bride works with Cameo Events, she picks out the decor best suited to her own personality, Ceriello said - be it a particular color of tablecloth, a certain centerpiece or an especially lovely table chandelier.

Cameo Events is focused on bringing the most modern, fashionable accessories to Coeur d'Alene, she added.

In 2008, Ceriello started Cameo back in Colorado. She brought the business to Coeur d'Alene and found a ready partner in Alexander.

"We just hit the ground running," Ceriello said.

Today's soft opening will also showcase beautiful bridal wear, the owners said. Standing in the store windows, live mannequins will model gowns and dresses throughout the event.

Wine will be served, too.

Storybook Bridal Boutique will celebrate its grand opening on Thursday, May 26.
