Wildkats, Loggers go 2-0 in softball tourney

FRENCHTOWN - Columbia Falls bounced back from its first loss of the season by posting two wins on Friday at the Frenchtown Invitational softball tournament.

Columbia Falls (8-1) edged Hamilton 8-4 and whipped Thompson Falls 12-2.

Libby also went 2-0 on the opening day of play. The Loggers drilled Stevensville 12-1 and Corvallis 14-4.

Whitefish had one outing, losing 20-0 to Frenchtown.

Play continues today.
