COEUR d'ALENE - In about five minutes, firefighters knocked down a small shed fire in Hayden on Saturday night.

Crews responded to the 8600 block of Cloverleaf Drive, in the Woodland Meadows subdivision, at 5:22 p.m., according to Capt. Pat Riley of Northern Lakes Fire District. The interior of a 10-x-12-foot backyard shed was on fire.

Using approximately 600 gallons of water, Northern Lakes firefighters suppressed and quickly controlled the blaze, Riley said. Crews left the scene at 6:04.

No one was injured.

The property owners were not home when the fire started, Riley said. Neighbors sprayed a garden hose to prevent the fire from spreading to a nearby fence.

The shed contained various yard and garden tools, and was positioned about 15 feet from the main house. No other property was damaged by the fire.
