Firefighters from Evergreen, Kalispell and several other fire departments battled a fire at a double-wide mobile home on Edgewood Drive in Evergreen on Tuesday afternoon as dozens of bystanders looked on. The fire was first reported at about 5:30 p.m. Firefighters cut holes in the ceiling of the structure to allow for ventilation, causing smoke to drift through the neighborhood. No one was injured. Witnesses said a passerby notified the family inside the residence of the fire after seeing smoke coming from the building.
