SENATORS: Civil stature applauded

The Wednesday, July 27 Press Editorial, "Vote of confidence," took courage to publish!
I share similar concerns regarding the local Republican Central Committee's actions to censure and chastise Senators Keough and Broadsword's rights to submit a proposal for redistricting. Also, kudos to The Press for having the fortitude to rebuke the committee that wanted to support Phil Hart "... a Constitution-wielding tax dodger and timber pilferer of some renown."
While I oftentimes hold different political views, I admire and value the more nonpartisan, civil and statesman-like approach of Senator Shawn Keough and Senator Joyce Broadsword. Perhaps a little more introspection would benefit all of us when it comes to respect, trust, fairness and justice. When will we really start listening to and talking with each other? What are we becoming?
