Trumpeter Adam Rapa listens as 12-year-old Natalie Dungey gives her rendition of a piece from the Arutunian Concerto for Trumpets on Wednesday evening at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish. Their performance was part of this week’s Festival Amadeus. For this portion of the concert, Rapa played the piece first, then Dungey followed to show the audience the difference between his jazz style and her more classical style. Both Rapa and Dungey will perform with the full Festival Orchestra tonight for “Mozart’s Jupiter and Trumpet Treats.” The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at the O’Shaughnessy Center. For more information, go to www.gscmusic.org/concerts/festival-amadeus. The festival wraps up with another orchestra concert on Saturday night.
