Kastning a finalist for arboriculture award
Tim Kastning was selected as a finalist for the International Society of Arboriculture True Professional of Arboriculture award. The ISA True Professionals of Arboriculture award honors ISA members and certified professionals who represent the profession in countless ways, such as interaction with customers, leadership of employees, creation of innovative educational programs, heavy involvement in volunteer community initiatives, special interactions with the communities in which they live and work, and the pursuit of professional development.
Idaho Independent Bank announces results
Jack W. Gustavel, chairman and chief executive officer of Idaho Independent Bank, announced IIB's consolidated unaudited financial results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30.
Gustavel reported that IIB's net loss for the quarter ended June 30, was $1.1 million, or 18 cents per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $1.5 million, or $23 cents per diluted share, for the same period a year ago.
IIB's net loss for the six months ended June 30, was $2.1 million, or $33 cents per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $1.4 million, or $21 cents per diluted share, for the same six-month period a year ago.
"We have made good progress in improving the bank's overall asset quality," Gustavel said. "IIB continues to maintain strong capital ratios that are well above the thresholds required to be considered "Well-Capitalized" under regulatory guidelines. Our strong balance sheet provides a solid foundation for growth and positions the bank well for future profitability," Gustavel added.
J-U-B Engineers names Cd'A office managers
J-U-B Engineers, Inc. has named Stephen P. James as area manager in its Coeur d'Alene office. Paul A. Klatt will serve as the assistant area manager.
"Steve and Paul will be responsible for the day-to-day business operations of the 45-member team as well as maintaining project management duties for their key clients in the region," said J-U-B President Lee Cammack.
James and Klatt are both professional engineers with more than 20 years experience. They have been in the Coeur d'Alene office since 1994.
Former area manager Dale Baune will continue his role as a vice president of J-U-B, focusing on projects, mentoring and client relations throughout the company.
"Dale is going to be very actively engaged in J-U-B. He has a passion for doing things right and an unquestioned dedication to the company," said Cammack. "Steve and Paul have been preparing for this opportunity for years and will continue the high standards of J-U-B in Coeur d'Alene."
J-U-B was incorporated in 1954 in Nampa. The company has more than 325 employees in 14 offices in four states, including Coeur d'Alene, Sandpoint and Spokane. The Coeur d'Alene office opened its doors in 1974.
