Pace Kerby Real Estate and Joe Farrell welcome brand new Realtor Darlene Schneider to their team.

Farrell has been with Pace Kerby Real Estate for 15 years and has recruited Schneider to be his new business partner. 

Farrell’s former business partner Tanja (Farrens) Ferguson will still be working part time with Pace Kerby. Farrell said the fact that Farrens and Schneider are friends has made the transition smooth.

Schneider is a Bonners Ferry native who has raised four children and has one still at home. She has done everything from teaching piano to substitute teaching, truck driving, logging and property developing.

Farrell had the choice of going solo or taking on another team member.  He had some people in mind but after working with Schneider on some real estate dealings in the past was amazed at how well she handled herself.

After speaking with his wife Nancy about his idea, Farrell took her advice and reached out to Schneider and her husband Phil about the prospect.

“I was shocked when he asked but with the encouragement of my husband and my kids I said yes within 24 hours,” Schneider said.

Soon after, Schneider took the necessary classes and now has her license and is ready to start work.

Farrell  said he has observed and has been really impressed with the Schneiders and all their children and how hard they work together as a family.

“Besides Darlene’s abilities and talents, she was born and raised here and knows the county well, and brings a lot to the table, her personality, honesty and integrity matches that of Pace Kerby’s,” said Farrell.

Farrell and Schneider agree that they share the same values and work ethic and will work well together as a team.

Farrell believes that partnership of a man  and woman team works well in the Real Estate profession.

“There are so many situations and types of people that it is nice to have two people working together for added perspective,” he said.

Farrell and Schneider like that they can evaluate properties together and bounce ideas off each other. Farrell feels that offering two perspectives gives twice the service to buyers and sellers alike.

“I am optimistic, about the economic condition, if I wasn’t I wouldn’t have taken on a team member,” said Farrell.  “My business is doing well enough that I wanted to stay working as I have been and I want it to get better, and I feel that Darlene’s outlook and vision make for the potential of growth.”
