John T. "Lil Scoot" Ensminger, 68, of Post Falls, passed away Aug. 16, 2011, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene.
John was born in Chicago, Ill., on Oct. 19, 1942. John moved to Post Falls in 1985, from San Diego, Calif., after retiring from the U.S. Navy and worked as a maintenance worker for Mor Electronics. He married Dorothy "Dot" Brinkman in 1997.
John is survived by his wife, "Dot," who resides in Post Falls; his sons, Tyler of Coeur d'Alene, Lawrence of Spokane, Darrell of California and Terry; his sisters, Sue and Barb; two granddaughters and one great-grandson.
John was a member of the Patriot Guards and the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed boating and riding his scooter with the Patriots.
A gathering of friends and family honoring John will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at Bell Tower Funeral Home and Crematory, 3398 East Jenalan, Post Falls.
