The second Hayden Music Festival, "Hayden Rocks," is set for Saturday at Hayden City Park.

The free community festival features a beer and wine garden and food vendors, Daanen's Delicatessen and Ciao Mambo.

Bands to perform include the Coeur d'Alene Rock School, 4:30-6:30 p.m., Jared Mees and The Grown Children, 7-7:45 p.m. and Finn Riggins, 8:15-9:45 p.m.

Organizer Kory Wilson said they hope to attract a large crowd to the event that will both provide free entertainment and boost businesses.

"What better thing would there be where people come to the downtown corridor?" he said.

Thanks to sponsors stepping up, they were able to make it free.

"It should be good, local music," Wilson said.

The event is sponsored by The Hayden Chamber of Commerce and the city of Hayden as well as Centennial Distributing and Avista Utilities.
