MOSES LAKE - At this particular party, everyone involved was a crasher.

That's because the Grant Country Fairgrounds Rodeo Arena was site last night to the 2011 KWIQ Demo Derby and as usual a boisterous crowd gathered to watch the best crashes anywhere around.

Taking the title of the Demo Derby was Mike Koon who took home the top prize of $1,200.

During the Demo Derby,  action was halted when Doug Hastings was injured in a collision when his car was T-boned. He reported back pain and officials announced he was taken to Samaritan Hospital. Hasting's condition was not known at press time.

All money distribution were the same for all other, non-Demo Derby events with $60 going to winners, $40 for second place, and $20 for the third spot. Ties would ultimately divide up combined dollars for places contended for last night.
