POST FALLS - The driver who died during Monday's semi crash off Interstate 90 at Post Falls has been identified as Nikolay Kvasha of Liberty Lake.

Idaho State Police continues to investigate whether a medical condition contributed to Kvasha losing control.

According to ISP, the Peterbuilt semi was westbound on I-90 near milepost 7 in the driving lane when it drifted into the passing lane occupied by a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by Richard M. Parker, 53, Spangle, Wash.

The semi sideswiped the Explorer. As the vehicles came together, they went into the median, came back onto the eastbound lanes of the interstate.

The vehicles then became separated where the Explorer came to rest on the south side of the eastbound lanes.

The Peterbuilt continued over the soft shoulder and across the eastbound off ramp at milepost 7.  It then went down an embankment, through a fence and came to rest in trees.

Parker was treated at the scene. A passenger in the Explorer, Cherie K. Parker, 53, Spangle, was not injured.

All three involved were wearing seat belts.
