Barbara A. Stebbins, 73, of Hayden, died Aug. 22, 2011, at her home. She was born Sept. 19, 1937, in Ferndale, Calif.

After graduating from high school, she served in the Army. She spent most of her younger life in California and moved to St. Helens, Ore., in 1969, where she met and married her husband Elbert Stebbins. She was a secretary until 1998 and retired, moving to Hayden to be closer to her family.

She is survived by her husband, Elbert Stebbins, at the home; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Kelly Rekstad of Hayden; brother Bill Lewis of Camano Island, Wash.; niece Kendra Rekstad of Hayden; nephews Mark and Richard Lewis.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Rekstad in 1966; her mother, Ruth Rekstad in 2000 and her stepfather, Kenneth Rekstad in 2008.
