Marlene Parker (nee Sandall), 73, passed away Aug. 25, 2011. She was born in Coeur d'Alene June 9, 1938, to Alvera Sandall Brown and James F. Sandall.
She was married to Steve F. Parker, Sr. of Georgia in 1953 and traveled with him when he was in the Air Force for 22 years, living in Ohio, Louisiana, Puerto Rico and Washington state. They moved to Georgia after his retirement for a few years and then relocated to Coeur d'Alene.
Marlene worked for many years at Ponsness-Warren, Steve's Sports Dugout, The Falls Club, Post Falls Senior Center and her last job at the Four Seasons Assisted Living. She made many friends during all of her working years.
Marlene enjoyed gardening, growing orchids, cooking, spending time with her family and making trips to the Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort and outings with her friend Yvonne De Armond.
She is survived by her three children, Pamela Parker of Lewiston, Steve F. Parker Jr. (Jacqueline) of Post Falls and Michael D. Parker (Randelle) of Liberty Lake, Wash.; a brother, Charles Sandall (Marsha) of Palouse, Wash.; grandchildren Steve F. Parker III (Sarah), Kimberly Parker, Michelle Becker (Brad), Rayanne Parker (Jesse Hoopes), Mary Parker, Thomas Parker, Diana Parker, Christa Marashdeh (Nasser), Suzannah Parker and Sarah McKenzie; and eight great-grandchildren Ashley, Kyia, Emma, Jack-Lynn, Steve IV, Kate-Lynn, Jenna-Ray and Hailey.
She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Randelle Parker and her husband, Steve F. Parker Sr.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at Forest Cemetery.
