Patti Jean Geddes, 54

On Aug. 27, 2011, Patti Jean Geddes, 54, passed away peacefully in her sleep and returned to the loving arms of her father in Heaven. She was born Oct. 27, 1956, in Albuquerque, N.M., to James Whitehead and Sylvia Jean Myers Geddes. Patti was the oldest of seven children.
A friendly, outgoing, beautiful individual - Patti played flute in the band and orchestra, was selected Homecoming Queen and graduated with honors from Coeur d'Alene (Idaho) High School in 1974. She attended Brigham Young University and graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Organizational Communication.
She married Richard Gerdts in 1976. Although the marriage ended, Patti and Rich remain the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Kelli Rachael and Adrian Michelle. Patti excelled in various professional positions. She served diligently in her many LDS Church callings. She was a talented musician, author, poet and avid reader.
Patti was known for her generosity and love toward her fellowman. Despite her personal battles with emotional and physical adversities, she touched many lives for good and remained upbeat and positive.
Patti is survived by her two daughters, Rachael (Brennan) Bates and Adrian (Ryan) De Prima; four grandchildren, Carter, Savanna, Gavin and Cash Bates; and six siblings, Michael, Deanna, Tom, John, Betsy and Marci.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, in the Cedar Hills 7th Ward LDS Chapel, 9737 Chesterfield Drive, Cedar Hills, Utah. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 11 a.m. under the direction of Warenski Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens, 7315 N. Government Way, Coeur d'Alene. Condolences may be sent to www.warenski.com.
