Charolette Faye Rubright/Vanderhoof, 64

Charolette Faye, born Aug. 31, 1947, in Sidney, Mont., to Annette Sunderland and Edward J. Doyle, passed away Nov. 20, 2011, at home in Post Falls.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Rubright; her son, Chris D. Vanderhoof; his wife, Carlee and their two daughters, Emily and Erica of Rathdrum. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Heen of Williston, N.D.; brother Dave Bauer of Sidney; sisters Debbie Cotter of Billings, Mont., Carmen McFarland of Willingston, Patsy Amunson of Harvey, N.D.; and brother Skip Doyle of Fargo, N.D.; as well as numersous nieces and nephews.

Charolette was preceded in death by her infant son, Todd Vanderhoof; her father, Edward J. Doyle and her mother, Annette Bauer.

Charolette's diverse interests and versatile capabilities ushered her through a unique life in which she wore hats of many colors. Charolette worked on a large farming operation in Washington where she started out as a ten-wheel truck driver to later become their purchasing agent. She then worked for LP in Post Falls operating forklifts, strattlebugs and hard labor banding lumber. She also worked for a horse ranch in Joseph, Ore., for three years as their marketing manager, along with working with the horses.

From 1990 to 1994, she worked for Sears as their Home Improvement Manager. Starting in the late '90s, Charolette was employed by Labor Ready in Coeur d'Alene. In 2004, she worked for Tesoro Oil Refinery in North Dakota during their upgrade. She later earned her CAN and worked with Visiting Nurses in Spokane, after which she spent approximately five years being a compassionate caregiver.

Charolette loved sailing, motorcycling and dancing, but most of all, she cherished her special friendships. In 2005, she married Wayne, whom she referred to as her "soulmate," her "true cowboy" and "Harleyman."

Charolette was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend to all. She was a bright star who will shine forever in the lives of those who knew her. Charolette was loved by and will be missed by many.

A memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel. A light luncheon will follow.
