Lady Gaga to visit White House
WASHINGTON - Lady Gaga is coming to the White House.
The pop singer is meeting with Obama administration staffers Tuesday to discuss her work on bullying prevention. The White House held an anti-bullying conference earlier this year, and the administration estimates that bullying affects 13 million students, or about a third of those attending school.
However, Gaga won't have a chance to meet with President Barack Obama. He's traveling to Kansas for a speech on the economy.
The president and Gaga have met before. The singer attended a fundraiser for Obama's re-election campaign in California earlier this year.
Sheen's ex-wife allowed home
ASPEN, Colo. - A Colorado judge will let actor Charlie Sheen's ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, to return to California following her arrest in Aspen on assault and drug charges.
A Pitkin County judge on Monday approved a request by Mueller's attorney to allow Mueller to go back home so she can care for her children.
According to the Aspen Daily News, officers arrested Mueller Saturday at a nightclub after a woman reported being assault by Mueller. Authorities released Mueller after she posted $11,000 bond. She is due back in court Dec. 19.
Smirnoff's final season in Branson
BRANSON, Mo. - Comedian Yakov Smirnoff says 2012 will be his last full season performing in Branson, Mo.
The 60-year-old comedian said in a news release Monday that he plans to tour the U.S. in 2013 with his stand-up comedy show.
Next year will be Smirnoff's 20th season performing the Yakov LIVE! production. The Russian comedian became famous in the 1980s for his observations about life in the United States.
Smirnoff said he will continue to live in the southwest Missouri resort town of Branson. He also plans to stay active in the community and in his theater.
