BASKETBALL: Ronan girls defeat Libby

Under new coach Clayton Curley, the Ronan girls picked up their

first win in their season opener against Class A Libby 32-28 at the

Tipoff Tournament on Friday.

With a defense that would rival the 1985 Chicago Bears, Ronan

held Libby to six points in the first half en route to the win.

Courtney Clairmont scored 17 points for the Maidens.

Under new coach Clayton Curley, the Ronan girls picked up their first win in their season opener against Class A Libby 32-28 at the Tipoff Tournament on Friday. 

With a defense that would rival the 1985 Chicago Bears, Ronan held Libby to six points in the first half en route to the win. Courtney Clairmont scored 17 points for the Maidens. 

Libby qualified for the Class A state tournament last year, and Ronan is in its first Class B season.
