Is anyone paying attention? The $300,000 dredge the Moses Lake Irrigation and Rehabilitation District is so proud of was drug through rocks and mud so it could be removed from the lake last week. Why wasn't it removed before the lake went down? Who is in charge over there?  Is anyone being held accountable for the disgraceful way our tax dollars are being spent?

The propaganda the MLIRD spouts about how well they're doing with the dredge is a crock.  At the candidates forum last week Bill Bailey stated he believed the district promised to remove 15,000 cubic yards of material. It was in fact 50,000.  I'd be disappointed but not surprised if there is some sugarcoating to the truth for the MLIRD.

They asked him to run and promised to financially support him. I think they are worried their isolated world is going to be exposed when Mick Hansen gets elected. He already wants them to give back the money they stole - excuse me assessed without a vote. They're making it nearly impossible to get your money back.

A bookkeeper I know took six hours to fill out the paperwork on two parcels and she's a paperwork queen!  Just imagine if it were you or me.

Mick Hansen is a straight shooter. He'll tell it like it is and you won't have to wonder if he's got a hidden agenda. Not only that, he can actually help the dredge project because it seriously needs a large dose of common sense.
