Bardaro's big night helps Chiefs top 'Tips

EVERETT, Wash. - Anthony Bardaro scored twice and added an assist to lead the Spokane Chiefs past the Everett Silvertips 5-2 in Western Hockey League play Friday night in front of 5,811 at Comcast Arena.
Mac Engel made 23 saves for the Chiefs (14-9-2-2, 32 points), who outshot the Silvertips 29-25.
Blake Gal, Liam Stewart and Collin Valcourt also scored for Spokane. Valcourt's goal was his third in three games. Cole Wedman's assist on Stewart's goal was the first point of his WHL career.
Brenden Kichton had two assists for Spokane, which trails first-place Tri-City by 14 points in the Western Conference's U.S. Division and second-place Portland by 11 points.
The Chiefs, who finished the six-game road trip 3-2-1, host Prince George tonight at 7 at the Spokane Arena.
