Donna Rae Rose, 73
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 14 years AGO
Sept. 1, 1938-Dec. 4, 2011
Beloved mother, grandmother, and sister passed away on Dec. 4, 2011, surrounded by her family.
Donna, a lifetime resident of the Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene area, raised three children while working in the electronics industry for 38 years; 13 of those with General Instruments, in Post Falls, and 25 years with Hewlett Packard, Liberty Lake Division.
Her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook, watch old movies and attend large family gatherings. In her early years, you could always find her at the roller skating rink.
She is survived by her daughters Tammy Evanson (Bill), and Dawn Roe; grandchildren Carly and Leah Evanson, Brandon, Johnathon, and Justin Houser, Nancy Haynie (David), Nellie Armstrong (David), Beth Atkinson (Chris), and Andrew Houser (Sara). She is also survived by her brothers Tom Walkup (Nancy), Jim Blankenship (Laura) and Gib Blankenship (Cheryl) and one sister Judy Rivette (Dennie), as well as four great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Donna was preceded in death by her parents Nellie and Hallie Blankenship and her son Jimmy.
Please join us in a celebration of Donna's life on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, from 1-4 p.m., at the Post Falls Senior Center, 1215 E. 3rd Avenue, in Post Falls.
Our family would like to express our sincere appreciation for all of the kind words and thoughts during this very difficult time; we would also like to thank the emergency room nursing staff and attending emergency room physician; Dr. Shaw at Kootenai Medical Center for the kindness and respect they showed our mother.
