L. Gene (Bud) Nowell, 92, passed away peacefully Dec. 6, 2011, at his daughter’s San Diego home.

Nowell had been in declining health for some time.  He and his wife, Bernice, recently relocated to Southern California to be closer to family, but Libby always has been — and always will be — their home.

Bud was a World War II veteran, and completed a long career in education with Libby Public Schools when he retired in 1980.

Throughout his life, Bud enjoyed golf, cribbage, and Bernie’s desserts.

In addition to his wife of 64 years, Nowell is survived by a daughter, (Janet); two sons, (Brad and Rob); and a number of grandchildren.

At his request, there will be no services.
