Royal's students of month named

ROYAL CITY - Royal High School counselor Marge Edwards has announced the names of the students of the month for November.

The SOM were chosen by the faculty from a list of nominations. All of the monthly winners are feted at the end of the year.

The senior SOM was Tanner Whitaker, son of Brent and Janice Whitaker of Royal City. His junior counterpart was Yesica Torres-Tovar, daughter of Ana Maria Torres-Tovar of Royal City.

The sophomore SOM was Carmen Rodriguez, daughter of Martin and Josefina Rodriguez of Royal City. The freshman choice was Payten Stakkeland, son of Parrish and Shanna Stakkeland of Royal City.
