George David Guiles, 56

George David Guiles passed away Nov. 21, 2011, in Coeurd'Alene at the age of 56 after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. He lived a full life and loved every minute of it.

George was born April 21, 1955, in Whittier, Calif., to Doris and Milton Guiles Sr. George married his wife, Donna, in California on Aug. 1, 1987. He had two sons, Matt and Bryan. The family moved to Idaho in 1992 and currently lives there. Most of George's family is located in Southern California, and although the distance is great George had the full loving and caring support of his entire family throughout his life in Idaho. George also had numerous close friends and many of those friendships spanned the past couple decades and beyond. He met many great people throughout his life and left lasting impressions with most.

From his teenage years George has had a passion for motorsports. In the '70s he began racing motorcycles in California. His talent led him to become a top racer in the community throughout the '70s and '80s. In the '90s he began restoring motorcycles like the one's he once raced back to mint condition. He greatly enjoyed riding those motorcycles with his sons around their Post Falls property and the surrounding hills.

In 2000 George took to restoring cars. He rebuilt many great classic vehicles from the ground up and put amazing dedication, passion and precision into every detail of each vehicle. His brother-in-law, Steve, would routinely visit from California and when they weren't enjoying the outdoors the two of them would spend hours in the shop working on various auto projects. Two of the beautiful cars George restored are in the caring hands of his brother, Milton Jr., and are cared for with the same dedication and love that created them.

George is survived by his wife - Donna; sons - Matt and Bryan; parents - Doris and Milton Sr.; brother - Milton Jr.; sister - Brenda; many friends and family members; his beloved pets. His family and friends love him and miss him dearly.
