COEUR d'ALENE - When Budget Blinds went out of business last August, Josh DesJarlais had to make a career decision.

After all, he had worked there since 2004. Blinds are what he knew. He had learned about them over nearly eight years as he rose through the ranks from installer to manager.

So really, his next move was an easy call.

He decided to start Northwest Blinds, which began offering services on Oct. 1.

DesJarlais likes interacting with customers and has made customer service a top priority at Northwest Blinds.

He hopes to maintain the relationships he formed with some of the 7,000 Budget Blinds clients.

Designing for his clients and delivering on their expectations is something that DesJarlais has enjoyed since the start of his career.

DesJarlais shares ideas for clients through his consultation services.

Northwest Blinds sells and installs window coverings, exterior solar screens, awnings, wood blinds, and shutters. In-home consultations are free.
