MOSES LAKE - The Grant County Tea Party will have its next meeting on Dec. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Bob's Cafe in Moses Lake.

According to Grant County Republican Party chairwoman Dani Bolyard, the Tea Party will conduct monthly straw polls at every meeting until next fall's election.

An important Republican event will occur tonight when Harold and Paula Hochstatter host Shahram Hadian at their home at 2104 W. Marina Drive in Moses Lake.

Hadian is running as a Republican for governor. He will be at the Hochstatters' from 6-8:30 p.m. For further information, you may call the Hochstatters at 765-8164.

Bolyard announced that the next Republican Central Committee meeting will be held on Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. at Time Out Pizza in Ephrata. The guest speaker will be Matt Manweller, Republican candidate for 13th district state representative.

Bolyard asked Republicans to mark March 3 on their calendars. That will be the date of precinct caucuses, the method by which Washingtonians vote for a preference in the Republican presidential primary race.

"Our precinct committee officers are deciding right now where these will be located," she said.

Another important upcoming date is Jan. 16, Bolyard said. The Freedom Foundation will be holding its annual legislative day in Olympia. Contact the foundation for information.

Bolyard may be contacted at chair@grantcounty-gop.com for details.
