OTHELLO - Four Royal City suspects were arrested after allegedly fleeing the scene of a drive-by shooting near Othello.
The Adams County Sheriff's Office received a report Wednesday afternoon of a shooting on West Cunningham Road, according to Adams County Sheriff Doug Barger.
Barger said at this time it's unknown exactly what was the target of the shooting, although suspects reportedly aimed a firearm in the direction of an individual, who was not hit. No rounds were found to have struck a house or a car in the vicinity of the shooting and no one was injured in the incident, he added.
Four suspects reportedly fled the scene in a late-1990s model, maroon Dodge SUV which was stopped a short time later by Grant County Sheriff's deputies on state Route 17 near Moses Lake.
Three juvenile males - ages 14, 16, and 17 - and 18-year-old Yajairo Calzada were booked for assault in the first degree and drive by shooting, with potential burglary charges pending, Barger stated.
The SUV was searched and no firearm was located, although Barger stated items from recent residential burglaries in Royal City were located and turned over to the Royal City Police Department.
The suspects are all from the Royal City area and all of them have known gang affiliation, according to Barger.
The three juveniles were taken to Martin Hall Juvenile Detention Center in Medical Lake and Calzada was taken to the Adams County Jail in Ritzville.
