RENO, Nev. - Led by Luke Thoreson's 17 points, five rebounds and three assists, Post Falls capped a 4-0 run at the Wild West Shootout with a 79-31 rout of North Valleys of Reno on Saturday morning.

Though there was no championship game, the Trojans were crowned champions based on having the best record in the tournament.

"It was a good road trip for us," Post Falls coach Mike McLean said. "Reno and Bishop Manogue and Galena were solid teams - each presented different challenges. Everyone got better at their roles. It was good to play different teams, and to play all 10 guys - that will help us in league."

Thoreson was named to the all-tournament team. Marcus Colbert added 15 points and four assists for Post Falls (6-0), and Michael Hillman had 10 points and nine rebounds.

"I thought we did a good job playing at our level - not playing at the level of our opponent," McLean said.

Post Falls is idle until playing Prairie of Vancouver, Wash., in the first round of the Coeur d'Alene Inn-vitational Dec. 27 at North Idaho College.
