There was no stopping the Paolini sisters or Jordan Danz Monday night at the Stillwater Christian School gym.

Morgan Paolini scored a game-high 26 points, Sarah Paolini was close behind with 23 and Danz followed with 18 as Stillwater rolled to an impressive 77-43 nonconference girls basketball victory over Mt. Baker.

Stillwater (6-1 overall) led 23-7 at the end of the first period and 40-20 at intermission.

"We played a run-and-gun team from Canada who is used to playing with a 24-second shot clock," SCS coach Denise Topp said.

"The girls did a nice job adjusting to the up-tempo play."

Morgan Paolini scored 10 points in the opening quarter and had 17 at the half. She also turned in a team-high 18 rebounds.

"She ran the floor well to be a major part of the transition game," Topp said.

Sarah Paolini's big quarter was the third as she tallied 10 points. The freshman added eight more in the fourth.

"(Sarah Paolini) capitalized on her speed and jumping ability to pull down 15 rebounds," Topp said.

Danz, a junior, had nine first-quarter points, which included a trey.

"Danz led at the point and did a solid job seeing the floor," Topp said.

She took it to the basket as well as distributing on the drive."

Danz also had seven assists, five steals and eight rebounds.

"Senior Evelyn Miller had a solid game defensively and added six points, 16 rebounds and three assists," Topp said.

Stillwater's next action is a road game on Jan. 3 against the Columbia Falls JV, 5:30 p.m.
