EPHRATA – Grant County Major Crimes detectives are asking citizens to help identify a man whose skeletal remains were found near O'Sullivan Dam on Nov. 23.

The body had been exposed for perhaps a year, and ID was difficult. It is believed to have been of a white or Hispanic male around 35 years old. He stood between 5-1 an 6-1.

The remains were sent to the King County Medical Examiner's office in Seattle. It was determined the unidentified man was the victim of a gunshot, but the circumstances were unknown.

The victim's teeth were in poor condition. The two front teeth had silver-colored caps, and one of those teeth was broken below the cap.

The victim was wearing multi-layered clothing, including:

• Phat Farm long sleeve t-shirt.
• Phat Farm short sleeve t-shirt.
• Route 66 dark denim pants, waist size 28.
• Insulated vest, tan and orange colored.
• Size 8-1/2 black shoes with Velcro closures
• Black stocking cap.
