'Turn out the lights, the party's over'

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a party on Flathead Drive following a report of minors drinking and the smell of marijuana. When police arrived, the minors turned the lights off and wouldn’t come to the door. One girl was arrested, however, and released to her mother.
Deputies arrested a man on a pending charge of driving while intoxicated after being found sleeping in his vehicle in the middle of the road in the 900 block of Columbia Falls Stage Road.
A resident of Trap Road in Columbia Falls reported hearing shooting that sounded like a high-powered rifle being discharged for at least 20 minutes.
An offensive anatomically correct snowman was reported on Ninth Street West in Hungry Horse. After being counseled, the resident modified the snowman.
A woman reported that shortly before moving to Valier in May, her friends who were living with her on Elm Avenue in Evergreen stole between $62,000 and $63,000 from her.
Several tires were reported stolen from a tire store on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell. The theft was caught on security cameras.
A student at a school on Commerce Street in Bigfork was found to be in possession of marijuana.
Both license plates were reported stolen from a motor home on Tronstad Road in Kalispell.
A resident of Helena Flats Road reported his friend had stolen money from him.
Officers with the Kalispell Police Department arrested two girls for being minors in possession following a vehicular accident on Seventh Street West. A man was also arrested.
A woman reported that her wallet was stolen after she left it on top of a gas pump on West Idaho Street, no one turned it in and it is no longer there. She said the wallet had a green card, driver’s license, military ID, bank card and Canadian bank card inside.
A resident of Taelor Road reported someone got into her husband’s truck, but nothing was missing. She also reported that there were footprints in the snow going to several different vehicles on the street.
A resident of Empire Loop reported someone went through her unlocked vehicle, but nothing was missing.
Avon merchandise was reported stolen from East Oregon Street.
A purse was reported stolen on First Avenue West.
The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report that a home on Sixth Avenue West was burglarized, with a window in the front door broken for entry.
A truck was reported vandalized on 13th Street West, with windows smashed and tires flattened. The caller said it looked like the damage was done with the truck’s hitch.
The Whitefish Police Department received a report of assault on Central Avenue.
Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office located a shoplifter after responding to a call for assistance from a government agency in Pablo.
