Irene Maria Grow, 89, resident of Rathdrum, passed Dec. 22, 2011, at Kootenai Memorial Center in Coeur d'Alene. Irene was born May 16, 1922, in Saarlouis, Germany, to Adolf and Elsbeth (Stueber) Seidel.

She came to the United States in 1959 from Germany. She lived six years in Chicago, Ill., before moving to Fontana, Calif. Irene lived there until 2007 when she moved to Rathdrum. While in Fontana she owned and operated a pet grooming service and was active as a volunteer at their senior center. After moving to Rathdrum, she enjoyed playing Bingo at the Post Falls Senior Center.

Irene is survived by her son, Mark Grow; daughter and husband, Michelle and Richard Greer - all of Rathdrum; two grandchildren, Lacy Boissoneau and Scott Rehfeldt; and four great-grands, Kolby and Serenidy Boissoneau, and James and Cash Rehfeldt.

Public visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls. Graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls.
