COEUR d'ALENE - Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of a man responsible for an attempted armed robbery on Nov. 28.

A female employee of the Goodwill, 1212 N. Fourth St., reported she had left the store at 1:55 p.m. to make a bank deposit. As she approached her car she was attacked from behind by a male suspect. The victim said the man put a knife to her throat and demanded her purse. She stated as they struggled over the purse, the suspect shoved her to the ground.

A citizen working nearby saw the attack and responded by pointing his gun at the attacker, who fled without the cash.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, with black hair, about 6 feet tall, wearing a black hoodie with possibly silver writing on it.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers, 667-2111 or 1-800-222-TIPS.

Information can be submitted at www.crimestoppersinlandnorthwest.org. Callers can use a code name or number and do not have to use their own name to be eligible for a reward.
