Frances Opal (Youngblood) Parker went to her heavenly home on Dec. 21, 2011, at Kootenai Medical Center. She was born in Pickens County, S.C., on Aug. 28, 1922. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Frank Parker.

Other survivors include daughter Frances Kauffman at Arlington, Wash., (Dave), two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Louis Tyrone Parker.

Frank and Opal lived in Washington and California, then moved to Chehalis, Wash., and finally to Rathdrum. Opal was an avid gardener. Her sunny smile endeared her to all who knew her. Her faith in her lord and savior sustained her all her life.

Funeral Services will be held at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d'Alene on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at 10 am with Rev. Larry Parker officiating.
