SPOKANE - Spokane police are looking for six men wanted in connection with the murder of a 21-year-old Moses Lake man.

Jose A. Solis Jr. was fatally shot at a Spokane hotel Nov. 27 while in town attending a rap concert with a large group of friends and acquaintances, also from Moses Lake.

After the concert, Solis' group returned to a nearby hotel to host an after hours party, according to Spokane police spokesperson Jennifer DeRuwe.

Several Spokane residents, including John A. Castro, 27, who reportedly has known gang ties, tried to attend the party but were asked to leave when arrived at the hotel room, DeRuwe stated.

Castro's group reportedly confronted Solis' friends in the hotel hallway and a physical fight broke out. Two victims suffered severe lacerations to their heads from beer bottles, thrown by Castro's group, DeRuwe stated.

The fight ended by Castro allegedly shooting Solis, who was transported to a nearby hospital and died about an hour later from a single gunshot to the torso, DeRuwe said.

Castro and other suspects reportedly sped away from the scene in a Cadillac Escalade and fled on foot when officers stopped the vehicle a few blocks away. Castro was quickly located and booked into the Spokane County Jail for murder, where he is being held on a $1 million bond.

Castro, reportedly has an extensive criminal history, with nine adult felony convictions on his record and nearly four years served in prison.

In the month since the shooting, Spokane residents Aaron A. Maxwell, 23, Anthony L. Feuntes, 29, and Michael J. Charles, 34, have also been arrested for their alleged roles in the homicide, according to DeRuwe.

Arrest warrants for second degree assault have been issued for the following people, all of whom DeRuwe said are from Spokane:

Kalen J. Bedford, 21; Jermaine S. Bedford, 22; Tyrone J. Carell, 23; Roderick D. Shanks, 21; Rashad F. Touissant, 25; and Stafone N. Fuentes, 27.

Anyone with information on any of the suspects is asked to call crime check at 509-456-2233. All suspects should be considered dangerous.
