Ernest Nelson, formerly of Libby, and Jenny Nelson of Smithfield, Va., announce the engagement and wedding of their daughter Lorianne Sandra Nelson of Smithfield, Va., to John Wayne Leseye, son of John and Barbara Leseye all of Suffolk, Va.

The bride’s grandparents, Sandra and Boyd Nelson, are of Libby.

Bride-to-be Lorianne graduated from Smithfield High School in 2008. She has studied business and has had emergency medical technician (EMT) training. Lorianne also owns a successful horse-training business, Crazyhorse Training.

Groom-to-be John graduated from Nansemond River High School in 2005. He graduated from the Tidewater Regional Fire Academy and is now a medic/firefighter for the Hampton Fire Department.

The couple plans to live in Suffolk, Va., after the wedding.

Wedding date is set for May 5.
