Troy Trojans devastate Plains; Ladies face defeat

The Ladies have a new coach this season, although Coach Tony Smith is not new to coaching after 34 years.
“We are a young team,” Smith said. “But, we will take baby steps.”
Plains Trotters were tough defensively, making it difficult for the Ladies to finish with a win.
However, the Ladies managed a gain in points going in to the third quarter — taking their points from 19 to 29, overall losing 29-42.
“I’m exremely pleased with the work ethic of these girls,” Smith said.
The Lady Trojans will face Thompson Falls on Thursday in a varsity only game beginning at 6 p.m.
Junior varsity Lady Trojans played with a lot of heart, managing 14 points in the second half — walking away with a loss, 18-30.

An intense varsity game on Friday evening resulted in an incredible win for the Trojans, crushing the Plains Horsemen, 60-41.
An ankle injury prevented Creede Garcia from playing Friday. Ryan Rayson was favoring his ankle injury, although he did play.
Trojans had a three-point lead by the end of the first half.
The third quarter kept fans on the edge of their seats as both teams brought the quarter to an end, 33-31.
The Trojans cleaned house in the fourth quarter, claiming a victory of 60-41.
Junior varsity Trojans played an incredible game against Plains, almost winning in the fourth, 34-36.
