The Flathead County Sheriff's Office has two men in custody they suspect were involved in a burglary attempt at a home near the Snow Slip Inn, on U.S. 2 near Marias Pass.
The first man, Jonathan Graves, 23, of Missoula, was found Dec. 10 sleeping in his vehicle in Kalispell. He is being held in the Flathead County Detention Center on charges of burglary, theft, obstructing a peace officer, resisting arrest and two felony warrants from Lake County.
The second man, Cameron Carr, 21, of Columbia Falls, was arrested in the parking lot of the Shamrock Casino, in Evergreen, on Dec. 17 at about 8:30 p.m. after sheriff's deputies got a tip Carr might try to rob the casino and then leave Montana. He's being held in the county jail on charges of robbery, theft, criminal trespass to a vehicle and attempted robbery.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies and Kalispell police officers spotted Carr's vehicle in the casino parking lot unoccupied with the engine running. They then saw Carr leave the casino with a handkerchief over his face.
