The holidays are almost over. Hopefully for you they have been relaxing and joyful. For many of us this time of year can be stressful as we try to shop and keep within a budget, fight the traffic, the crowds, the shipping schedules for packages. Add to that the conflict in schedules, memories of lost loved ones or the reminder that some relationships are on the rocks and in spite of efforts to heal them they still aren't what we want them to be. All of these tend to surface during this time of the year. Often there is depression or resurfacing of grief.

All of these stresses can cause us to "comfort" ourselves by overindulging in holiday foods and desserts that are not always the healthiest. We tend to put on a few extra pounds during the holidays adding to our frustration. Now what? It's decision time! You can choose to accept the extra weight, rationalizing it by reminding yourself that you joined a gym last year and after a few sessions you stopped going and you still are paying on the contract, or you tried yet another diet last year and gained it all back or "couldn't lose any weight." Or you can decide to change things and take some serious action and get back to where you would like to be. Either way, you have decided.

If your choice is to take action and change things, congratulations. As you look around you will see many who have not yet made that decision. Sometimes people have lost hope that they can change and your success will be the motivation for them to also take action. The Ideal Protein Diet/Treatment program is simply the easiest, safest and most rapid way to lose those extra pounds of unwanted fat. You can lose 3-7 pounds of fat/week. With knowledgeable coaching by us who have done this protocol successfully, your success is assured by accountability and careful monitoring with our state of the art body composition devices by Stayhealthy.

The Skinny on Weight Loss: Part I

As attested to by the many ads in the media, we are a nation of dieters. According to the Surgeon General of the United States, "The greatest threat to our country isn't terrorism, it's obesity." Perhaps more of us should be thinking about losing the unhealthy extra weight we've accumulated. But losing weight is physiologically unnatural. Many of you have tried can attest to that and that's why 95 percent of people who have successfully lost weight will gain it back.
