The Montana Shrine Game is the premier all-state game in the state and has been played since 1947 to help raise money to raise awareness for expert orthopedic and burn care availability at the Shriner's Hospital for Children in Spokane, Wash.

The game will be played on July 21, 2012 in Great Falls.

Polson quarterback Vince DiGiallonardo, who made opponents feel like they were playing Madden without a controller during the season, was named to the West roster along with guard and mover of men, Josiah Clairmont and hard-hitting Paul McClurg at outside linebacker.

The Pirates enjoyed an undefeated regular season and a first-round bye in the playoffs this year.

Ronan shutdown cornerback Jack Humphreys, whose coverage and tackling skills should probably be written down in a textbook somewhere, will represent Ronan on the West Alternates team.

Ronan advanced to the state semifinals in their first season in Class B. In recent years Montana has become one of the top Shrine Games in the country for hospital donations. The players were selected by being nominated by their schools, voted by coaches across the state and went through a final selection process.

Many of the players in the game have gone on to have impressive collegiate and pro careers.

Grady Bennet, head coach of Glacier High School, will lead the West Team.
