MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake Boys and Girls Club presented plans for a new 10,700-square-foot building to the public in August.

Brant Mayo, the club's executive director, said there are plans to hold fund-raising events in the future.

"We have a considerable amount of money raised toward our goal ... The facilities we have aren't adequate for the number of kids we're running through them."

The club is seeking $2.8 million to construct the building next to the Park Orchard Elementary school on Paxson Drive, Mayo said.

The group has been working of this project for a couple of years, and started raising money last year.
