Genevieve L. Gauthier, of Spokane, peacefully passed away on Dec. 29, 2011. Gen was born on July 14, 1914, in Coeur d'Alene, to Roscoe and Tina Largent.

She was one of two daughters. Genevieve grew up and graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School where she later met her husband Joseph Gauthier.

Gen and Joe were married on Valentine's Day in 1938.

They lived in Kellogg the next 43 years where they worked and raised their family. In retirement they moved to Spokane.

Genevieve was Miss Coeur d'Alene in her youth; loved swimming in Lake Coeur d'Alene, and was a wonderful cook. Her sense of humor and kindness will always be remembered.

Gen was preceded in death by her husband Joe in 2001. She is survived by a daughter Sherie, a son Don, three grandchildren, Lisa, Lori and Christopher and seven great grandchildren Quinn, Trever, Reece, Olivia, Kellen, Brooke and Nico.
