The Troy High School girls basketball
team could not match baskets in road-game losses at Noxon and
Plains.
The Lady Trojans opened their weekend
with a fairly good first half on Friday at Noxon. But the Red
Devils pulled away in the second half for a 42-27 victory.
Troy led 11-10 through eight minutes
and trailed only 17-15 at halftime. In the third quarter, the
Devils outscored Troy, 15-7, and continued to play good defense in
the fourth.
Jackie Pepiot led the Trojans with
eight points.
Troy experienced a repeat the following
day at Plains. After staying within striking distance in the first
half, the Lady Trojans had third-quarter problems in what ended up
as a 57-38 loss.
Plains held leads of 10-8 at the end of
the first and 28-21 at halftime. The Trotters outscored Troy, 18-4,
in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.
