BEEFY BELL: Is this actually news?

The recent lawsuit by the Alabama firm of Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, seems as ridiculous as their name is long. They are the "experts" that have determined Taco Bell's seasoned beef is not "beefy" enough for them. I am no food critic, just a college student working my way through school. I would love to have the time and money to sue a fast food company about semantics if their meat is called: beef or seasoned beef.

As printed in this newspaper, the USDA guidelines for the labeling of ground beef does not apply to restaurants, but does apply to meat processors. Tyson is the preferred processor for Taco Bell and they are under the watchful eye of the USDA. This in itself makes the lawsuit foolish, but expecting filet mignon in your 99 cent taco is unreasonable. You get what you pay for. I know better, but have partaken in the consumption of Taco Bell food in the recent past and I have not died yet.
