Cirincione sets 3 state swim records; nationally ranked

Jake Cirincione, a 12-year-old swimmer with the KATS, broke three state age-group records at the FAST Meet in Great Falls last month.
Cirincione set new standards in the 11-12 age bracket's 50 (24.54) and 100 (53.13) freestyle and 50 butterfly (26.52).
Those fast times also have Cirincione ranked nationally - ninth in the butterfly, 14th in the 100 freestyle and 16th in the 50 freestyle - for his age group.
"He's just a natural talent," KATS coach Brandon Rannebarger said.
"He works hard at it. He has a phenomenal kick."
Rannebarger said Cirincione has been with the KATS for four seasons.
"That's quite a feat for his age," Rannebarger said.
"It's great for the program and great for him. He's been coming in every day, a younger kid practicing with the seniors. It's great to see his hard work paying off."
The state meet for KATS is Feb. 25-27 in Butte.
